Educational Foundation (EF)
The AAUW Educational Foundation, which is the largest source of funding exclusively
for graduate women in the world, supports aspiring scholars around the globe,
teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their
careers, and those pursuing professions where women are underrepresented.
EF has helped approximately 8,000 women in 120 nations to pursue their personal
and professional goals through fellowships, grants and awards. This is made
possible through the efforts of branch, individual, and employer-matching fund
programs.
The Schaumburg Area Branch was ninth in the state in per capita giving. These
funds were raised through the Annual Bedding Plant Sale and individual member
contributions. The Schaumburg Area Branch Research and Projects Endowment was
fully endowed in 2001.
Information and deadlines for EF Fellowship and Grant applications can be found
on the AAUW website, http://www.aauw.org.

in higher education challenge discriminatory practices - practices such as sexual
harassment, denial of tenure or promotion, pay inequity, and inequality in women's
athletics programs.
The Schaumburg Area Branch was fourth in the state in per capita contribution.
