Partners & Alliances

AAUW-Illinois, Inc. collaborates to achieve its mission of education and equity for all women and girls. As an organization, AAUW-IL, Inc. has formal memberships with the following organizations.

AAUW has newly become a Campaign Supporter and Organizational Partner for the Illinois Campaign for Responsible Sex Education.  We have over 70 organizations signed on with us as campaign supporters. For further information on this, contact our Public Policy directors, Diane Balin at dbalin@cae.org or Faye Marcus at fe.marcus@insightbb.co.  More information on this issue can be found at www.responsiblesexed.org.

AAUW also is a Partner with A+ Illinois.  We joined this coalition in Spring, 2005.  This serves as a statewide campaign of groups and individuals working for reform of our public educational system.  More information on the A+ Illinois plan is available at info@aplusillinois.org

AAUW is in partnership with the International Federation for University Women, or IFUW.  We have worked closely with the Bina Roy Partners in Development, a fund which aids education and understanding worldwide.  Contact Donna Sproston at sproston@maplecity.com for more information.

AAUW is in partnership with the Department of Peace Coalition. The Dept. of Peace will provide the structure and funding to the legislators in Washington.  This has been founded and directed by Marjorie Zamora, who can be reached at  MarjorieZ@aol.com for further information.
