What: The purpose of the Halloween-themed Science Spooktacular event is to provide a fun-filled experience that will engender
or reinforce girls’ interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) activities.
Who:
Naperville and Aurora 4th and 5th
grade girls and their families are invited.
Cost will be $5 per family. Family pre-registration will be necessary.
The event will include more than 50 interactive
science displays, staffed by young women
and adults involved in STEM studies. There will be exhibitors with information
about after-school and summer science, technology and math programs and
exhibitors representing women in STEM careers with information about those
careers. We expect up to 400 4th
and 5th grade girls and their family members
