As the 90th anniversary of the 19th Amendment approaches, Barbara Zeitz, women’s historian and gender equity analyst, will review the political interactions of women and men—past, present, and future. Amy Maglio, Executive Director, Women’s Global Education Project, will illustrate why gender equality in education is necessary for progress to be made toward other Millennium Development Goals. Key Wester Restaurant, 1975 Glacier Park Drive, Naperville BRANCH PROGRAM: SPRING LUNCHEON/A VISIT WITH MARY TODD LINCOLN After lunch, get to know Mary Todd Lincoln through Donna Daniel’s entertaining first person presentation of highlights of Mrs. Lincoln’s life. The program will include details about Mary’s childhood, her marriage to Abraham Lincoln, their children, the war years in the white House and especially the 17 years of her life after Lincoln was killed.
