Tuesday,  February 9, 2010 6:45 PM  Branch Program - History of Working Women
Dee McHale, a.k.a. Rosie the Riveter, will provide an historical look at women’s contributions to World War II on the Home Front.
Through slides from Bifolkal Corporation and anecdotes which Dee has gathered from women who lived through the event, experience how American society was forever changed when women moved from the home to the work force.  Learn what it was like for women as they stepped up to the plate to make war goods and keep the economy running, while also taking care of their families.  When she’s not portraying Rosie the Riveter, Ms. McHale is the Marketing Director of Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus.  Technical support for her presentation is provided by Laura Miligan, Exec. Director of Ecumenical Adult Care.
