May 2011: Dare to Dream wins Power of Partnership Award!

Four local branches of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) won a Power of Partnerships Award from the DuPage Area Partnership for College and Career Success. 

The Elmhurst, Lombard, Downers Grove and Wheaton/Glen Ellyn AAUW branches were named the Non-Traditional Careers Organization of the Year on behalf of their annual Dare to Dream Conference.

2010 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Workshop

Dare to Dream: Get Educated! has received a $2,000 grant from The DuPage Community Foundation for its conference at Elmhurst College for middle school Latinas and their mothers. The conference focuses on encouraging Latinas in DuPage middle schools to graduate from high school and continue to the highest level of education possible. American Association of University Women branches in Elmhurst, Lombard, Downers Grove and Wheaton/Glen Ellyn support the project. Dare to Dream also is sponsoring a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math conference on Jan. 30 at Elmhurst College for high school girls curious about careers in science.
