Dare to Dream 2012 is a one-day conference for Latina middle school girls and their mothers to empower the dream of education. This is our fourth conference and it will take place at Elmhurst College on Saturday, January 28th. Both the girls and their mothers will attend workshops on various topics such as careers, high school and college campus life, making choices, health, navigating the American school system and family life.

Please help support this effort by sending a financial contribution to “Dare to Dream: Get Educated”, P.O. Box 328, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Your tax deductible donation will help us encourage Latina girls of DuPage County to seek the education that can turn their dreams into reality. A contribution of $48.00 supports the attendance of one girl at the conference, but any amount is appreciated. Your name will be acknowledged in the 2012 conference program.

“Race to Nowhere” Film Presentation and Discussion

Location: Sandburg Middle School

Race to Nowhere” is a call to action for families, educators, and policy makers to challenge current assumptions on how to best prepare the youth of America to become healthy, contributing and leading citizens. A concerned mother turned filmmaker aims her camera at the high-stakes, high-pressure culture that has invaded our schools and our children's lives. Tickets are free but required for the event. Please follow the link to get your tickets. Click Here for Tickets.
