Equal Pay Day takes place on a Tuesday in April and symbolizes the point in the next year to which a woman must work to achieve pay equity for the previous year. Public Policy Update

FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK...
Welcome to the first month of Spring! Hopefully the calendar won't prove us wrong, and we will have a much-overdue warm up as you receive this newsletter.

I would like to thank Kathy Novak, Luz Olivera and Kay Preshlock for agreeing to serve with me on the board for the next two years.

When you have a moment, take a look at our branch website. Bonnie Kuhrt has been working to keep it current.

I hope to see you at our Fashion Show/Luncheon on April 19th. The committee has been working hard to make it a fun-filled, relaxing event. Gather your friends and help support our branch and the Educational Foundation through your purchase of the raffle and silent auction items. See you there……..
Kathy

Get Ready for Rainbow Reflections
Saturday, April 19 at the Crystal Lake Country Club

Time is running out!! Have you invited your friends, relatives, neighbors, etc to our annual luncheon and fashion show? Are you planning to attend? Sure hope so as the committee has been hard at work to make this a wonderful occasion.

Pat Dewey and Sue Early have chosen a tasty menu for us featuring special salmon and chicken dishes, with a vegetarian option for those wanting that. They have been working with the country club to have a smooth running event.

Michele Phillips has lined up many raffle donations from local businesses as well as many of you. We are very fortunate to have our local merchants supporting our event and of course, we appreciate our overly generous members as well.

Kathy Dalton and Ginny Shriver will be displaying all this good stuff and selling tickets to all attendees. Come early (11 am) and browse around the tables and then buy tons of tickets.

The models are ready to strut their stuff in some lovely spring and summer time outfits. Talbots always provides a good show and Barb and Luz and Sara have organized a grand program. We are especially delighted to have models who reflect the diversity of our members…all ages and shapes are represented. Thanks to those ladies who are willing to spend their time to choose the outfits and then model them!

Loretta Pearson is designing the programs which will list all the donations as well as the workers. The room will look especially gorgeous this year because Mary Alice and her hard working decorating committee have designed some knock out centerpieces.

Bottom Line…mail the order form ASAP or contact Rosemary, Katie, or Pat Morava and BUY LOTS OF TICKETS
