Jane Addams Birthday Celebration When: Saturday, September 17th Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm It's a birthday party for Jane Addams! Come to where it all began - the birthplace of Jane Adams - Cedarville Historical Museum 450 West 2nd St., Cedarville, IL Cost: $20 Tour the Cedarville Historical Museum, chat with the local historian, enjoy an informal lunch (with cake!), lay a wreath at her burial site, and see the grounds of the homestead. AAUW-IL State Fall Conference Details at www.aauw-il.org Conference Title: Fall into AAUW When: Saturday, October 29th Where: Stronghold Castle, Oregon IL. Oregon, IL is about 80 miles west of Chicago. All members are invited. If you would like to drive out on Friday, Jan Lisa Huttner will lead a discussion for a "night at the movies." Saturday includes sessions on getting women to run for office, using social media to promote your branch, as well as district meetings. |
