  • Mission Statement: AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.

  • Vision Statement:  AAUW will be a powerful advocate and visible leader in equity  and education through research, philanthropy, and measurable change in critical areas impacting the lives of women and girls.

Our Addison Branch intentionally seeks women who demonstrate their personal commitment through their innovative leadership and involvement in our local community.

AAUW Addison branch members started 2006 at a kickoff event at Kathy Hundley’s home.  Members wore hats leading into a networking opportunity to share important and meaningful news about our lives.  Members were updated on the following AAUW business:

A. New Mission and Vision statements for AAUW and the Educational Foundation

B. A new programming theme entitled, Education: The Gateway To Women’s Financial Security

C. Local events and fundraisers for 2006-2007

D. Celebration of 125 years of AAUW history.
